Hi, I’m Sarah Newton, leading youth consultant in the UK, author of “Help! My Teenager is an Alien” and TV star of ” My Teen’s a Nightmare I’m moving out”.
Over the last eight years I have been using a Student Success Programme, which is a systematic, holistic approach to studying for exams and doing better at school that is personalised to every individual child, helping them succeed. This system has been used again and again and 90 % of students going through the system have increased their grades, with some raising grades in 5 subjects.
Whether your child is gifted or hovering between a pass and a fail, I can help them improve their grades. How can I be so sure of myself? Because it has been eight years in the making and has been tried and tested.

The Student Success Programme is designed to help your teen learn:
- How to study smart to get the best result
- Their learning style and how to use it to increase memory retention
- How to use, organise and implement a study system that works for them
- How to relieve stress and prepare themselves for the exams
Your teen works with Sarah to create their own “Study Plan of Action” and then, on strategies and techniques that they can use practically in the real world to support them in getting the best results possible.
The System
The Student Success Programme is split into four distinctive areas and look in depth at:
1. Environment
What environment is best suited to them for study? How can they change their environment to suit their study needs. The different requirements of nomadic and stationary learners.The impact environment has on the brains’ ability to take in information
2. The System
The best systems that will make your child want to study. How to create a study system that works and will get results. How best to chunk down study to get the results. Ways to make the information stick more.
3. The Mindset
Which beliefs and thoughts may be getting in the way of effective studying. How to deal with the negatives thoughts when they come up.Choosing success
4. Habits
How to include helping habits in your everyday routine. How to eliminate habits that are hindering. The importance nutrition and exercise have on study.
The programme emphasises a huge element of personal responsibility and your child is expected to take full responsibility for themselves. While I know this system works, I cannot guarantee personal results for your child and I will interview your child at the beginning of the programme to ensure they are agood fit for this. All I can say is that 90% of students that have worked with me have seen results.
