Young Novel Writer
Kyla LoPresti is the author of The flahsback series which she wrote at the tender age of 12. Kyla was born and is being raised in Connecticut. Kyla is twelve years old and attends the 7th grade. She has just published her first best seller on Amazon. Currently she is working on the finishing touches for two additional books. Book two of the “Flashback Series”, and a new novel, “Love Bites.”
1. How did you start doing what you do?
I have loved to write since I was 7 years old. Sometimes thoughts just pop into my head and I have to get them down on paper.
2. Who supported you along the way?
My parents, grandparents and teachers.
3. What were the high points?
When people congratulate me and are proud of me.
4. What were the low points?
Sometimes thinking that it is not good enough to publish.
I haven’t really had any negative reactions. People have been so supportive of everything. I am very lucky.
They are excited and happy for me. Now some of my friends want to write books too!
I learned that I am actually a hard worker when I am really passionate about something.
I have become a better writer and a little more outgoing.
7. What advice would you have for other young people?
Follow your dreams. Sometimes things are hard to accomplish but you can’t give up. Just do your best and put effort into what ever it is you want to accomplish. Kids can do things adults do, we may even do them sometimes better.
