College/Career Assesment

Help your child with the toughest choice they will ever make

Can you remember your school years? Can you remember the challenge of choosing your options, your college course, your future career? If you were like most you found this daunting, challenging and frustrating. Well the good news is it does not have to be that way for your child.

Help your child to make decisions for their future based on solid information not just a wing and a prayer.

Give your child the Gift of The Highland Ability Assessment so they can learn what they do easily and naturally and how to make a future out of that. Students who know their innate abilities are better able to use them in their studies and in their selection of college and curriculum. They are also helped to improve their relationships with other students, and with their teachers and parents.

An assessment of your child’s natural abilities will tell them what jobs they will perform well.

An appraisal of your child’s interests will tell them what jobs they will enjoy.

A review of your child’s values will tell them what jobs will give them a sense of pride.

A review of your child’s memory styles will show them how to study better and more efficiently.

Whether we call them talents or aptitudes or facilities, what we’re really talking about are the hard-wired abilities we inherit at birth. Unfortunately, our schools are not equipped to assess natural abilities. The measures that are used – grades, SAT results, interviews – ignore the most fundamental measure of all – an assessment of your natural abilities.

This assessment, more than any of the others, will suggest the career/course of study that will be best for your child.

About Highlands

The Highlands Ability Battery is the gold-standard among tests assessing human abilities. Developed from the pioneering clinical studies of Johnson O’Connor, it is a three-hour objective inquiry into the abilities you were born with and their various patterns. The Battery is available online. The Battery consists of nineteen different worksamples. Each worksample is timed to measure the speed with which you are able to do a particular series of tasks. Your score on each worksample establishes whether a particular task is more or less easy for you. Displayed together on a personal profile and bar chart, your scores reveal patterns or “clusters” of abilities which require interpretation by a Highlands Affiliate. Once you understand these patterns or “clusters” you will be able to direct your life and work into more productive and satisfying channels. The Highlands Ability Battery is the world’s leading assessment measuring natural abilities. By means of objective hands-on worksamples – all online – we help your child to understand their innate abilities. Only the Highlands Ability Battery was designed to measure the hard-wired talents we all share – in varying degrees.

Sarah’s help gave me a new perspective and direction for my life. She helped me look at the big picture so I could find what I actually wanted to do and not just what teachers, family or narrow psychometric tests told me I should do.

The Highlands test gave me a really useful set of results to work with about me as a person, my abilities and weaknesses. This was so much more useful to me than other tests I had taken which told me ‘you should be a doctor or a lawyer’ which didn’t help me at all!

Sarah helped me to understand the results of the Highlands and then look at my life as a whole and how everything could potentially fit together. She showed me that I had options, not just medicine and law, and that by taking small steps, over time I could go a long way.

I have now finished school with good results and have applied to Universities I want to go to and courses I want to study. I think the outcome would have been very different if I hadn’t met Sarah and been shown that there are so many options available. Sarah helped me realize that by keeping an open mind, giving things a go and thinking about what you actually want and are good at, you will begin to find something that is right.
