Sarah Newton – Author, Speaker and Youth Expert
Sarah is good at what she does, knows her stuff and always has a viewpoint that tends to rock the status quo. She has worked in the youth field for over 30 years, first as a police officer and then eventually running her own business, via a stint at Disney World in Florida. She is a mixture of wit, humour and knowledge, all served up with a challenging, unconventional style. She knows a lot of stuff and is deeply immersed in the youth market; in fact, I would bet my last dollar on her knowing more than most other experts. She is the one who the others experts come to for advice.
Sarah has a no-nonsense, down-to-earth approach to solving most youth-associated problems, based on tactics that work, not rhetoric out of a book. She often is the only one in the room to stand by her viewpoint and tends to think the opposite from everyone else. For example, she thinks that gaming is cool and social media is awesome, so she always makes for an interesting guest. She is an avid reader and closet geek and was talking about most of the current thoughts and ideas about youth at least 5 years before the mainstream caught on. She is forward-thinking to say the least and is known in her field for her futuristic thought and attitude. If this floats your boat, then you want Sarah.
She is comfortable in front of the camera (even appearing in her PJs for one TV show – a TV show that went around the world no less), she is not afraid to say it like it is – in fact I would go as far to say she in uncensored, but don’t worry, she is well aware of the legal dos and don’ts of TV. She in comfortable in her own skin and not impressed by celebrity (she won’t go around asking for selfies with your other guests). She is not precious and won’t mind been prodded, moved and having microphones shoved anywhere (well almost). She is friendly, easy to get along with and unassuming.
So if you want an unconventional youth expert who her knows her stuff and can serve it upon with humour, a smile and an air of authority, Sarah is you gal.
